The Position:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Associate to join its New York office. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative companies, entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, and emerging businesses throughout the business lifecycle, from formation and early-stage financing through growth and exit.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility for admission.
- 2–6 years of relevant corporate, emerging companies, or venture capital experience preferred.
- Experience with venture capital financings, private company transactions, M&A, or general corporate matters.
- Familiarity with preferred stock financings, convertible securities, capitalization matters, and corporate governance.
