Job Summary
Seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses – Med/Tele to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical/Telemetry setting.
The RN will assess patients, monitor cardiac/telemetry status, administer medications and treatments, document patient care, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Tele patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Monitor telemetry and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate significant patient changes to physicians and healthcare team members.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Active unencumbered Kentucky RN license or Compact RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience.
- Med/Telemetry nursing experience.
- Must be willing to work 48 hours/week.
- Must be willing to work 12-hour day or night shifts.
- Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Must have required certifications applicable to the assignment.
- EPIC, Meditech, or other EMR experience preferred/required as applicable.
- Must be able to provide complete travel assignment history.
Compliance Requirements
- Active, unencumbered KY RN or Compact RN license.
- Current required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, as applicable.
- Education verification – BSN/ADN or applicable nursing education.
- Background check and facility credentialing.
- Drug screening, if required.
- Any required health/immunization/occupational-health documentation.
- Disclosure of any nursing license infractions.
- Nursys report and supporting details if applicable.
- Disclosure of previous Pikeville Medical Center employment or agency assignment.
- Disclosure of all requested time off.
- Verification that previous travel assignments were completed, or explanation for any incomplete assignment.
