Position Details

• Shift: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Weekend: As needed
• Holiday: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
• On-Call: Required – minimum 7, maximum 10 shifts during the assignment
• Floating: Not required
• Scrub Color: Green

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including hands-on experience with Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and specialized equipment.
• Assist with permanent and temporary pacemaker procedures.
• Support Impella and IABP procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor hemodynamic equipment.
• Obtain and analyze hemodynamic, cardiac output, and oximetry data.
• Operate power injectors and related equipment.
• Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial band application, and hemostasis.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety and infection-control protocols.
• Maintain procedure inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
• Perform routine equipment checks and quality-control activities.
• Participate in the department's required on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Strong experience with invasive cardiac procedures.
• Impella experience required.
• IABP experience required.
• Permanent pacemaker placement experience preferred.
• Hemodynamic monitoring experience.
• Cardiac rhythm recognition skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mac-Lab experience.
• EPIC experience.
• Experience with peripheral vascular procedures.
• RCIS certification.
• ARRT certification.

Education & Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related Applied Science program.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a health science field preferred.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Radiology certification required/preferred based on applicable credentialing requirements.
• ARRT preferred.
• State Radiologic Technologist license, if applicable.
• ACLS must be obtained within 3 months of employment if not already held.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work on-call shifts as required.
