QC Construction Engineer – Pharmaceutical Construction Program
On-site – Indiana – 12-Month Contract – Full-Time (40 hrs/week OT with approval)
Are you an experienced QC Construction Engineer ready to ensure quality execution on a high-profile pharmaceutical construction program? We’re seeking a detail-oriented, field-based quality professional to oversee inspection, documentation, and verification of construction activities on a complex, highly technical project.
This is a fully on-site role where your ability to enforce quality standards, review technical documentation, and collaborate with construction teams will be critical to delivering world-class pharmaceutical facilities.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the on-site QC Construction Engineer responsible for quality oversight of field construction activities
- Implement and enforce the project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
- Perform inspections and quality checks on mechanical, electrical, piping, architectural, and/or civil work (based on discipline)
- Verify construction work complies with contract documents, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve ITPs, inspection reports, redlines, and quality documentation
- Witness testing, inspections, and system turnover activities
- Identify, document, track, and escalate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and quality issues
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and project management to resolve quality concerns
- Participate in daily site walks, coordination meetings, and quality reviews
- Support readiness activities for system completion, turnover, and commissioning
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection logs, and turnover documentation
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of construction quality control processes and best practices
- 3–5 years of experience in a QC Engineer, QA/QC, or construction quality role
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Experience performing field inspections and documenting quality issues
- Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and inspection requirements
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience with life sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory, cleanroom, data centre, government building or hospital projects
- Background supporting large, fast-paced, multi-trade construction programs
- Familiarity with turnover, commissioning, and validation readiness activities
