Commercial Real Estate Attorney

A well-established Boston law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its growing real estate and transactional practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys taking a hands-on role in sophisticated commercial real estate matters and is comfortable managing transactions from early-stage negotiations through closing. The ideal candidate will be able to step into an active deal flow, work closely with clients and internal team members, and independently handle meaningful portions of complex transactions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Representing clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing matters, joint ventures, and related business transactions
• Managing transactions from letter of intent through closing, including coordinating timelines, diligence, documentation, and closing deliverables
• Reviewing and analyzing title commitments, title exceptions, surveys, zoning materials, entity documents, authority documents, and other due diligence items
• Preparing and maintaining diligence summaries, closing checklists, transaction trackers, and related closing documentation
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, lease documents, financing documents, and ancillary transaction materials
• Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, consultants, and other transaction parties to move matters forward efficiently
• Supporting an existing commercial real estate practice while also contributing to client development and long-term practice growth

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial real estate experience
• Strong experience with purchase and sale transactions, real estate finance, leasing, due diligence, and closings
• Ability to manage significant transaction responsibilities independently
• Excellent drafting, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active matters
• Portable business of approximately $100,000 or more is strongly preferred
• Massachusetts bar admission preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $165,000–$200,000, depending on experience, qualifications, portable business, and other job-related factors.
