Responsibilities
- Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support compliance reporting
- Provide EHS training and safety education to employees
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation, records, and reporting systems
- Support hazardous waste management and vendor coordination
- Assist with emergency response planning and drills
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance and safety improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field
- 3 years of EHS experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience with EHS program implementation and regulatory reporting
- Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and risk assessments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills across operations and leadership teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- EHS certifications (CSP, CIH, or similar)
- Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 systems
- Experience with environmental permitting and compliance reporting
- Experience managing multiple projects or cross-functional initiatives
