Overview
A high-precision manufacturing company serving Aerospace & Defense and other advanced industries is hiring a CMM / PCMM Programmer & Operator. This role focuses on PC-DMIS programming, tight-tolerance inspections, and first article reporting in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment.
What You’ll Do
- Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS (required)
- Inspect precision production parts to tight tolerances
- Create and optimize inspection programs using 3D CAD & 2D drawings
- Complete First Article Inspections (AS9102)
- Interpret GD&T (ASME / ISO) requirements
- Perform manual inspections (calipers, micrometers, gages)
- Communicate inspection results with manufacturing, quality, and customers
- Support audits, source inspections, and quality initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized inspection environment
What They’re Looking For
- 3 years CMM programming & inspection experience
- Strong PC-DMIS experience
- Experience in Aerospace / Defense or other regulated manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
- Comfortable working with 3D models and 2D prints
- Team-oriented, detail-driven, reliable
Nice to Have
- Verisurf experience
- Production or tooling environment background
- Familiarity with CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
