The Opportunity
A vertically integrated real estate investment and property management platform is hiring an Accounting Manager to take full ownership of a large multifamily portfolio; while also benefiting from hands-on mentorship from senior leaders who have built and scaled portfolios in the NY market.
What you’ll be doing
- Own full-cycle accounting across a multifamily portfolio
- Lead the month-end close (no delays, no clean-up jobs)
- Review and produce financial statements with full accountability
- Oversee rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and cash flow activity
- Manage bank, operating, and escrow reconciliations
- Analyse budget vs. actuals and explain the “why” to leadership
- Partner directly with property management teams
- Improve processes, tighten controls, and drive efficiencies
- Oversee and mentor a small accounting team
What they’re looking for
- 5 years in real estate / multifamily accounting
- Strong ownership of month-end and reporting
- Confident working with Yardi (Voyager preferred)
- Someone who can lead, improve, and challenge processes
