As a vital member of our team, you will work under the guidance of our Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging. Your expertise will help physicians diagnose diseases and injuries, all while ensuring the highest quality of patient care through safe and efficient processes.What You'll Do:As a Radiologic Technologist, you will:Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.Use your excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients, easing their anxieties and ensuring cooperation.Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.Adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging views as requested by physicians.Determine exposure factors based on patient specifics and imaging requirements.Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings, including operating rooms and emergency rooms.Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.Process and prepare images for review by radiologists or requesting physicians.Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.Practice radiation protection techniques to safeguard patients and staff.Maintain accurate records and logs of work performed.Train new staff and students, sharing your knowledge and expertise.Perform other related duties as necessary.What We’re Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Licenses & Certifications:Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)Basic Life Support CertificationAdditional Requirements:California Mammography Certificate (if required for the position).Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.Strong presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.Compliance with Radiologic Technologist Career Ladder Agreement.Why Join Us?We offer a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
