As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures under the guidance of our Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging. Your expertise will assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries, all while ensuring the highest quality of patient care through safe and efficient processes.What You'll Do:In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:Performing specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.Communicating effectively: Explain procedures to patients to ease their anxieties and gain their cooperation.Preparing and positioning patients: Ensure they are ready for imaging procedures.Adjusting immobilization devices: Capture optimal views as requested by physicians.Determining exposure factors: Tailor them based on patient specifics and imaging requirements.Operating mobile radiologic equipment: Work in various settings, including operating rooms and emergency rooms.Assisting radiologists: Support them during fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.Processing images: Ensure they meet quality control standards.Maintaining equipment: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.Practicing radiation protection: Safeguard patients and staff.Keeping accurate records: Maintain logs of work performed.Training new staff and students: Share your knowledge and expertise.Taking on additional duties: Be flexible and ready to assist as needed.What We’re Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Licenses and Certifications:Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)Basic Life Support CertificationAdditional Requirements:California Mammography Certificate (if required for the position).Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.Strong presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.Commitment to obtaining necessary certifications for career advancement.Why Join Us?We offer a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
