Auto Technician Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automotive systems. Applicants MUST HAVE WV State Inspection Card and preferably ASE Master certification or have graduated from a trade school or have dealership certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical inspections to identify issues with automotive systems.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify equipment components.
• Service and repair transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brake systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts, and other critical vehicle systems.
• Conduct tire service including mounting, balancing, and repairs; perform wheel alignments to ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed; interpret schematics and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting.
• Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts; perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and ensuring timely completion of work.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
• Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; strong electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of using various hand tools and power tools safely.
• Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and tire service.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks in diverse environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions. Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
