Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems.
- Execute routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and tire service to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair or replace critical parts like air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and auto body components as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific systems such as GM vehicles. Not required.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for precise troubleshooting.
- Skilled in repairing all engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, and powertrain components.
- Experience working with ADAS technology, auto estimating software, welding techniques, and auto body repair is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of suspension systems, alignment procedures, brake repair, shocks & struts, and tire service.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical systems confidently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Certifications related to automotive repair or specific systems (e.g., air brake certification) are advantageous but not mandatory.
