Overview:
The Locator works alongside a Sewer Camera Operator to identify, map, and mark underground sewer pipelines before gas line installation work. This role supports safe excavation by accurately locating utility lines and assisting with related field duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Sewer Camera Operator with all project-related tasks.
- Locate, identify, and clearly mark underground sewer lines.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs, working outdoors, and navigating varied field conditions.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
- Take ownership of work quality, accuracy, and overall presentation.
- Maintain a positive attitude, discretion, and professional conduct at all times.
- Support a dynamic, fast-paced project environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Travel to project sites for extended periods as required.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience & Minimum Qualifiations.
- Experience in utility locating, field services, or related utility work preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in various weather and field conditions.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor with endurance and stamina.
- Ability to move quickly, lift heavy objects, and maintain physical strength for prolonged periods.
