Sales & Marketing Director
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales & Marketing Director to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for driving occupancy, building strong referral relationships, and coordinating the move-in process for new residents. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, goal-oriented professional with a passion for serving seniors and promoting a person-centered approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the community’s annual marketing and sales plan
- Create and maintain a strong referral base by building lasting relationships with social workers, case managers, hospitals, and other key referral sources
- Monitor and track conversion rates (referrals → admissions) and ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain weekly referral and sales logs, tracking progress toward census goals
- Organize and host presentations, luncheons, and community outreach events to promote services
Resident & Family Support:
- Provide compassionate, person-centered guidance to residents and families throughout the transition process
- Coordinate pre-admission processes and ensure a smooth, welcoming move-in experience
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to review and approve referrals promptly (target 30-minute turnaround where possible)
- Conduct follow-up with referral sources to monitor patient progress and support successful transitions
Market Analysis & Community Outreach:
- Analyze market trends, competitor strengths/weaknesses, and referral source data to position the community competitively
- Build partnerships with area hospitals, home health agencies, hospice providers, and senior organizations
- Actively engage with local senior-focused events and programs to enhance community visibility
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior living, healthcare, or related sales and marketing roles
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze data, develop strategic plans, and meet census goals
- Knowledge of long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare services preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods; bend, stoop, and lift as needed
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment with exposure to residents and their families
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including evenings or weekends when needed
