Location: High Point Residence – Wood River, IL
Schedule: Full Time, Daytime hours, Monday - Friday and some weekend availability may be needed along with on call for community emergencies.
About the Role:
High Point Residence is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an entry-level, part-time position focused on ensuring our community remains safe, clean, and well-maintained. Primary responsibilities include general maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds, with a strong emphasis on floor care, garbage disposal, and overall building presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Assist with general upkeep of the facility, including grounds and equipment
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, especially floors and common areas
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and repairs
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a healthcare or residential care setting
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
