Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency nursing care in the ER, including triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound management.
- Maintain Cerner charting and documentation in accordance with policy and patient safety standards.
- Float to OB, ED, and Med/Surg units as needed to support staffing and patient needs in a small, multifaceted facility.
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned, providing leadership and direction to other staff during shifts.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary teams, and families to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and safety.
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association or compatible)
- Experience: Prior travel nursing experience required
- Floating capability: Ability to float to OB, ED, and Med/Surg as needed
- Schedule: Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Orientation: Will participate in Tuesday orientation sessions
