Responsibilities

• Perform formal patient assessment and continuous monitoring of vital signs in the ER
• Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity; initiate initial treatment plans
• Establish and manage IV access, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions within scope
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and case management to coordinate care and transitions
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses clearly in the electronic health record
• Ensure patient safety, perform basic life support as needed, and uphold infection control and quality standards
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, discharge, or transfer as appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license and ability to practice in the state or eligibility for travel assignments
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and/or ENPC preferred
• 1 year of ER/acute care nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department and demonstrate adaptability to a rotating night shift
