Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including ICU and ED settings, across multiple units
• Manage ventilator support, administer inhaled therapies, and perform airway clearance techniques as prescribed
• Monitor patient response, adjust treatments, perform ABG analysis, and document findings in the electronic medical record (Epic)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Ensure equipment readiness, perform routine maintenance, and respond to respiratory emergencies promptly
• Adhere to all policy, safety, and credentialing requirements (ACS/NBRC validation, licensing, and continuing education)
  
  

Requirements

• Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner
• Certifications: NBRC Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible to take NBRC written exam; ACLS, BLS, NRP; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the respiratory therapy specialty
• NICU experience within the last year; experience across ICU and ED patient populations
• Epic experience within the past 2 years
• Ability to work in a hospital environment, including 12-hour night shifts and unit rotations (M/S, ED, Birthing Center as applicable)
• Evidence of up-to-date credentials and ability to work in Vermont
