Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific direct patient care using the Nursing Process within Department of Nursing standards and specialty-specific care standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document care accurately and timely
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and report changes to the patient’s care team
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care; educate patients and families as appropriate
• Assume leadership responsibilities on the unit, including delegation of tasks to other levels of staff and supervision as assigned
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and hospital policies governing health care provision
  
  

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (state of assignment or as required by board policies)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training must be active prior to contract start date or booked by orientation
• Experience in Med Surg Tele or related acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work in a hospital environment and perform age-appropriate nursing care across patient populations
• Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and meet the guaranteed hours requirement
