Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient respiratory care for adult ICU and ED patients; NICU Level III experience is required; PICU experience preferred
• Manage ventilator support, airway management, chest therapies, bronchodilator therapies, oxygen delivery, and related treatments; monitor patient response and adjust therapy per physician orders
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and documentation; assist with weaning and extubation as appropriate
• Document care and orders in Epic EMR; maintain accurate, timely charting and adherence to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; participate in rounds; communicate with physicians, patients, and families; escalate clinically as needed
• Assist with patient transfers and disposition decisions; weekends as needed, with schedule flexibility
  
  

Requirements

• Active Vermont Respiratory Therapist license (RRT required; CRT not accepted)
• NBRC verification; BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP required upon submission
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient respiratory care experience
• NICU Level III experience required; PICU experience preferred; teaching hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Prior travel experience preferred
