Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult Med-Surg Tele patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, IVs, medications, and multisystem conditions; manage geriatric-specific needs and delirium prevention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document progress, participate in rounds, and communicate changes in patient status
• Perform and document comprehensive assessments, respond to clinical changes, and escalate as indicated
• Maintain accurate charting in the EPIC EMR system and ensure adherence to care pathways, safety, and infection control protocols
• Float to similar medical-surgical floors as needed and support patient flow during high census or acuity changes
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Med-Surg Tele experience
• Experience in a large teaching facility
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to start
• BLS required; ACLS, M/S (Med-Surgical) or Gerontology certification recommended
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 24 months
• Ability to work nights (3x12) and to float to similar floors as needed
