Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures, including X-ray and CT scans, per physician orders
• Properly position and shield patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure factors as needed; maintain image quality and patient safety
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles; monitor equipment for proper function
• Verify patient identity and orders; document procedures and preliminary findings as required
• Communicate with radiologists and care team; provide patient education and reassurance as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Illinois Radiologic Technologist license
• Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
• CPR certification
• Ability to read, communicate effectively in English, and use basic computer systems
• Strong interpersonal skills; good judgment and ability to carry out simple one- to two-step instructions
• Basic math skills; ability to operate imaging equipment and document results accurately
  
  

Education and Certifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
• Licenses: Illinois Radiologic Technologist
• Certifications: CPR Certification
