Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to identify functional limitations and goals for residents
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, coordination, dexterity, and mobility
• Provide direct therapy and adaptive strategies to enhance function in daily tasks and community re-entry
• Document progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge planning in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy disciplines, social work, and physicians) to optimize resident outcomes
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals, home programs, safety, and use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
  
  

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapy license to practice in the United States ( NM licensure preferred or eligibility)
• Degree from an accredited OT program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and participate in an interdisciplinary team
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Willingness to participate in a short-term travel assignment with a defined 13-week duration
