Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Details
- Vascular Interventional Radiology unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 7:30AM–5:00PM, 4x9s
- On-call rotation required
- Weekend and holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial/venous), and venous thrombectomy
- Neuro IR experience is ideal but not required
- Skills utilized include moderate sedation management, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Experience with IR procedures including peripheral vascular work, central lines, and embolization
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, nursing interventions, procedure documentation, and safety reporting
- Manages medication administration and patient care during moderate sedation procedures
- Monitors hemodynamic status throughout procedures and provides documentation of procedure events
