American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience and RDCS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii.

• Acute care hospital imaging department specializing in echocardiography
• Procedures include adult 2D-Mode echo, Doppler CW & PW, valvular disease studies, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, effusions, 2D & 3D TEEs, and hypertensive heart disease studies
• Canon i700 and i900 ultrasound equipment utilized
• EMR is Epic
• Variable shift schedule with 40-hour workweeks
• Call shifts required as appropriate
• Float to other departments per facility policy

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• ARDMS or CCI certification (RDCS) required
• Active AHA BLS required
• Proficiency in adult echocardiography including 2D-Mode, Doppler CW & PW, valvular disease studies, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, effusions, 2D & 3D TEEs, and hypertensive heart disease studies
• Epic EMR experience beneficial as facility transitioned to Epic in November 2025
• State license required if applicable

• Pediatric echo experience is a plus but not required
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is held at Hilo Employee Health and attendance is mandatory
• Travelers starting on a Monday should plan to arrive in Hawaii by Thursday to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
• Personal scrubs and healthcare professional attire required
