What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer - Testing and Validation position at Harvey Nash?
Typical task breakdown:
Job Duties & Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches
- Author and update safe job & lock out tag out procedures for seal test equipment
- Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects
- Perform/Apply root cause analysis on field returns
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects
- Collaborate with system engineering teams, internal and external, to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions
- Create and deliver technical reports
- Research and develop new sealing technologies
Interaction with team:
- Working closely with test validation engineers, design engineers, account customers within Client; working with other teams
Work environment:
- Office environment: half of their time is in LAB setting
- PPE required, safety toe shoes, prescription safety glasses, ear protection
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 0 -2 years
