Title: HIL Validation Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES
The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer is responsible for validating embedded control software using real-time hardware simulation environments. This role focuses on integrating physical ECUs, sensors, and actuators with simulation models to ensure system-level performance, reliability, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and maintain HIL test benches using dSPACE, OPAL, or equivalent platforms.
Design and execute test plans, regression suites, and validation strategies using real-time simulation.
Integrate plant models, ECUs, and I/O systems to simulate real-world conditions.
Develop automated test scripts using Python, MATLAB, or C/C .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
