Our teams operate across defined technology markets, including Data & AI, Cloud & Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering. We combine deep talent expertise with a consultative, market-led approach to help clients solve critical technology and workforce challenges.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full-Desk Technology Recruiter to build and own a defined technology market.
This is a true 360 role with responsibility for both business development and talent delivery. You will develop deep expertise within a specific technology domain, build relationships with high-value candidates and technology leaders, generate new client opportunities, and manage the recruitment lifecycle from initial business development through placement.
Rather than operating as a generalist, you will become a recognized specialist within your market, developing an in-depth understanding of the technologies, talent landscape, hiring trends, companies, and leaders shaping your niche. Specializations may include areas such as Data & AI, Cloud & Infrastructure, ERP/Enterprise Applications, CRM, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering, with expertise across platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and other emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Own Your Specialist Market
- Develop and execute a strategy to build a defined technology specialization and geographic market.
- Map target companies, technology leaders, talent communities, and emerging hiring opportunities within your niche.
- Build deep knowledge of relevant technologies, platforms, skill sets, certifications, compensation trends, and talent availability.
- Develop a strong network of specialist candidates and consultants who can be proactively introduced to targeted clients.
- Use market intelligence and candidate-led outreach to create conversations and uncover new hiring opportunities.
Business Development & Account Growth
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients within your specialization.
- Generate new business through targeted prospecting, referrals, networking, market intelligence, and candidate-led business development.
- Develop relationships with technology executives, hiring managers, and other key decision-makers.
- Lead client meetings and discovery conversations to understand technology initiatives, workforce challenges, and future hiring requirements.
- Expand existing accounts by identifying additional hiring opportunities and introducing relevant Harvey Nash capabilities.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of new clients, opportunities, and revenue.
Candidate Development & Delivery
- Identify, attract, and develop relationships with high-caliber technology professionals within your specialization.
- Maintain an active network of marketable candidates and consultants aligned to your target client base.
- Conduct in-depth candidate interviews to understand technical expertise, career objectives, compensation expectations, and marketability.
- Proactively represent specialist talent to relevant clients and prospects.
- Manage the recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and qualification through interview, offer negotiation, placement, and onboarding.
- Maintain long-term relationships with candidates to generate referrals, market intelligence, and future opportunities.
Client & Candidate Experience
- Act as a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide clients with insight into talent availability, compensation, competitive hiring trends, and market conditions.
- Advise hiring leaders on recruitment strategy, candidate attraction, and talent-market dynamics.
- Maintain consistent communication throughout interview, offer, placement, and onboarding processes.
- Deliver a high-quality experience that strengthens long-term relationships and repeat business.
Performance & Growth
- Meet and exceed individual gross profit, placement, client development, and activity targets.
- Maintain consistent business development activity, client meetings, candidate engagement, and pipeline generation.
- Build a profitable and sustainable book of business within your specialization.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, client, candidate, and activity data within Harvey Nash systems.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, certifications, hiring trends, and developments within your specialist market.
- Represent Harvey Nash through relevant technology communities, conferences, networking events, and industry groups.
- Collaborate with Harvey Nash colleagues and global delivery teams to expand client relationships and identify additional opportunities.
Requirements
- 4 years of full-desk/360 technology recruitment experience, with demonstrated success in both business development and candidate delivery.
- Proven track record of developing new client relationships and generating recruitment revenue.
- Experience recruiting within a defined technology specialization such as Data & AI, Cloud & Infrastructure, ERP/Enterprise Applications, CRM, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of the technologies, skill sets, talent landscape, and hiring trends within your market.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both technology leaders and high-value candidates.
- Strong prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Commercial mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding individual performance and gross profit targets.
- Entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to independently develop and grow a specialist market.
- Experience with recruitment technology and CRM/ATS platforms such as Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, and related sales and sourcing tools.
