What are the responsibilities and job description for the POS Engineer position at Hana Cloud Solutions?
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Install and set up POS solutions at the stores
- Configure system settings to meet specific business requirements
- Manage the processes to transfer funds between customers, merchants, and financial institutions.
- Provide technical assistance to merchants and financial team regarding payment processing issues.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in transactions.
- Conduct PoC to improve/expand the payment system and internal backend system.
- Develop/Automate new innovative features and apply to the system for enhancement.
- Perform Tier 2 technical troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure system stability and performance.
- Communicate persuasively with store personnel to alleviate their technical problems
- Collaborate with employees across the company to maximize their work effectiveness by ensuring proper technology operations.
- Perform compliance activities and establish day-to-day operation to meet requirements.
- Renewal of licenses, planning and implementing IT security to meet legal requirements
- Strong vendor management
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree, Information Technology/Computer Science
- 4~7 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of payment system flow/structure
- Strong technical knowledge and skills, particularly in computer hardware and software.
- Linux based system operation
- Basic network knowledge
- Basic data analysis
- Toshiba POS hardware system installation/operation
- Collaboration with merchant processors
- PCI Compliance is a plus
- POS software development is a plus
