As a Management & Program Analyst (Financial), you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the Office of General Supplies and Services (GSS) programs.

Location of position:  General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Services, Office of General Supplies and Services.

We are currently filling one (1) vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $127,624 per year.  Salary will vary by locality. Salary will be determined based upon locality of selectee.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience: 

  • Applying quantitative and qualitative financial/budgetary analysis methods to assess program activities for compliance with organizational goals
  • Evaluating financial/budgetary processes, policies, and procedures for deficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Presenting financial findings to senior leaders and/or technical teams for organizational programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a Senior Program Analyst to top Office of General Supplies and Services (GSS) management, and is responsible for providing expert analysis on a variety of subject matters, initiating and leading projects involving the evaluation of GSS programs, supporting worldwide program activities and lines of business, developing and coordinating strategic marketing and communications plans, and preparing complex reports related to the commercial marketplace.

  • Conducts complex analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs, and participates in unusual, controversial and sometimes highly sensitive aspects of the program. Reviews, evaluates and manages the progress of portfolio program areas in accomplishing agency-wide objectives by appraising performance, progress, program status and trends against approved objectives and program goals and schedules.

  • Applies a wide range of advanced qualitative, and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness and complex management processes, projects and systems.                                                                               

  • Provides leadership, expertise and authoritative advice for assigned program activities, obtaining appropriate resources to facilitate accomplishment of objectives.

  • Prepares and/or conducts briefings for higher level management to explain the specific analysis of subject matter, as well as to provide recommendations or action plans and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation.
