Compensation
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-Time
Monday-Friday
Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events and resident activities as needed
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars.
Coordinate group activities, individual visits, holiday celebrations, community events, and special programs.
Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Complete resident activity assessments and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Recruit and coordinate volunteers and community groups when appropriate.
Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other departments to enhance the resident experience.
Maintain activity supplies, decorations, and department organization.
Ensure the Activities Department remains compliant with all applicable regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications
Previous experience in Activities, Recreation, or Long-Term Care preferred.
Activity Director Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification if required.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Compassionate, enthusiastic, and resident-focused.
Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.
Must be dependable and able to work independently while fostering a positive team environment.
