Compensation

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-Time

• Monday-Friday

• Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events and resident activities as needed

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.

• Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars.

• Coordinate group activities, individual visits, holiday celebrations, community events, and special programs.

• Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.

• Complete resident activity assessments and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.

• Recruit and coordinate volunteers and community groups when appropriate.

• Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other departments to enhance the resident experience.

• Maintain activity supplies, decorations, and department organization.

• Ensure the Activities Department remains compliant with all applicable regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Activities, Recreation, or Long-Term Care preferred.

• Activity Director Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification if required.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Compassionate, enthusiastic, and resident-focused.

• Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.

• Must be dependable and able to work independently while fostering a positive team environment.
