- PhD in Public Health, Environmental Health, Exposure Science, or a related field with experience in participatory science projects focused on lead hazards or a Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in participatory science projects focused on lead hazards.

Job Description
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the LBPA reimbursement support workstream, including planning, prioritizing, and coordinating outreach and follow-up.
- Plan and run outreach and follow-up to increase reimbursement participation and move packets to completion.
- Serve as a primary contact for participant technical assistance; triage questions, troubleshoot issues, and track follow-ups using standard communication workflows (email/phone and customer support ticketing).
- Provide feedback and mentorship for junior agents and serve as the first point of escalation for difficult tickets.
- Develop and update resources (short how-to videos, guides, FAQs, checklists, example packet materials) to standardize guidance and improve submission quality.
- Oversee document collection and administrative completeness reviews; identify common missing items and update guidance/processes accordingly.
- Coordinate stakeholder touchpoints with internal leadership and external partners (e.g., state counterparts); draft communications, support briefings, and document decisions.
- Track and evaluate performance metrics (e.g., outreach volume, open items, completion rates, cycle time) and provide regular updates to support reporting and planning.
- Support other programmatically related efforts in the environmental health and water quality program.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical environmental science, public health, exposure science, study design, statistical analysis, and implementation science.
- Demonstrated experience in community-engaged outreach and participant support for environmental health or public health programs, including translating technical/regulatory information into clear guidance for non-technical audiences.
- Experience coordinating multi-partner workflows and maintaining consistent participant communication
- Experience comfortably talking with a variety of people.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and R.
- Experience working with schools and/or child care facilities and supporting place-based remediation processes.
- Familiarity with lead exposure prevention topics (e.g., lead in water / lead-based paint) and participant troubleshooting related to sampling or remediation navigation.
- Practical experience using a customer support platform such as Zendesk (or similar) to track inquiries, follow-ups, and resolutions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organization and follow-through; ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-volume
- outreach environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Act as a natural problem solver.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Multitask efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and written.
- Utilize and learn computer-based tools.
- Adapt to changing program needs and volume
