Position Overview
Binderholz Enfield is seeking an EH&S Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced EH&S coordinator who is skilled in coordinating environmental, health and safety processes, organizational policies, and best practices. The EH&S Coordinator will perform EH&S-related inspections and other tasks to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. The Coordinator will also assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping processes throughout the facility. You will be responsible for supporting the organization’s safety compliance vision and strategic direction.
Work Schedule
- Must have open availability to work either the Day or Night Shift, as well as have On Call and Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with EH&S Technicians and Assistants to ensure access control procedures are followed
- Escort contractors and visitors to their required destination as requested by management
- Perform area safety inspections, document findings, and report to appropriate area Supervisors and the EH&S Supervisor
- Enforce PPE and Dress Code policies inside the facility by reporting issues to area Supervisors
- Identify housekeeping opportunities and coordinate cleaning efforts with EH&S Assistants
- Coordinate and/or perform street sweeper and pavement marking operations
- Perform compliance-related inspections
- Respond to incidents and ensure appropriate actions are taken, including the completion of incident/injury reports
- Provide support to business units to drive continuous improvement and strengthen current processes
- Assist with EH&S-related awareness and communications
- Follow Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and Crisis Management procedures as directed
- Drives and supports a culture focused on safety
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
- Minimum of one year’s health and safety experience
- Background in health and safety, industrial cleaning, or compliance-related inspections
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification is a plus
- Attention to detail (required)
- Ability to coordinate and work as a team
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be dependable and show ability to take direction
- Able to work flexible schedules and long hours
- Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, in loud, high-volume environment
- Perform essential functions of job that includes walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
