What are the responsibilities and job description for the GRCSU Paraeducators 2025-2026 position at Greater Rutland County Supervisory Union?
Paraeducators are responsible for supporting students and collaborating with teachers within the school setting by performing a variety of supportive activities within a diverse population of students. Performance Responsibilities- Works with individual/small/large groups of students to reinforce instruction and support student learning. - Supports classroom teachers in curriculum delivery, activity modification, and other curriculum implementation duties as assigned. - Supports student accommodations and modifications to classroom curricula and provides re-instruction for specific students (under supervision of appropriate professionals). - Implements curriculum materials under the supervision of a classroom teacher and/or special educator.
Assists students with work completion within classroom & guided study settings. - Provides assistance in meeting targeted instruction goals and objectives. -
Assists with general classroom behavior management procedures. - Documents student progress/performance.
Sensitive to the need for confidentiality in dealing with student/school/district matters.
