Job Summary

The SVP, Chief Brand Officer (CBO) is the senior-most Brand executive and we have an open opportunity to lead one of GoTo Foods seven iconic brands, Jamba.

The CBO is responsible for leading all facets of the Brand providing the leadership, management, and strategic vision necessary to ensure that the Brand has sustained profitable growth in its core business. The CBO will directly oversee the brand's marketing and operations teams to develop, refine, and implement Marketing and Operations strategies and tactics in alignment with the Brand's vision/mission and in partnership with the Brand team, Category, Centers of Excellence teams, and Franchisees. The CBO will partner with other matrixed functional groups within the organization to drive the Brand's results. The CBO will build the Brands culture, values and performance with a high performing, growth-oriented Marketing and Operations Team. The CBO interacts directly and through their team with franchisees of the brand to drive franchise sales, profits and growth.

Essential Functions

  • Set the long-term Brand strategy to achieve sustained, long-term, profitable growth driving Brand and Franchisee financial results including growth of EBITDA and cash flow.
  • In conjunction with Brand’s marketing and operations leaders and other key GoTo Foods stakeholders, design and implement short- and long- term business strategies and plans. Working through the organization’s Brand and Centers of Excellence teams, consistently achieve the brands desired sales, unit growth and profitability targets.
  • Build the brand’s customer base, increase customer retention, frequency and life-time value through the successful creation and execution of marketing and operations strategies.
  • Partner with the Technology, Consumer Insights, Customer Engagement, and Marketing & Operations departments to develop and implement consumer-centric approaches to drive the business.
  • Partner with the Development department to build a robust pipeline of franchisees for continued, profitable new unit growth.
  • Be a highly accessible and visible leader who serves as a public face of the brand to franchisees, employees and community at large.
  • Build effective working relationships with franchisees and partner to enable franchisee success and execution of brand initiatives.
  • Foster consistent communication (e.g., phone, email, face-to-face, etc.) with franchisees to drive business initiatives, guest satisfaction, brand health, operational compliance, unit growth and franchisee value.
  • Determine work methods and direct the work of associates.
  • Drive the establishment of performance goals and provide on-going feedback, coaching, and development to enhance the team’s performance and capability, to facilitate open communication, and to encourage continuous performance improvement.
  • Identify individual and team skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities (e.g, training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to advance individual and team capability.
  • Recognize initiative, innovation, and work well done to create a positive work environment of excellence.
  • Hold others accountable for conducting business in a legal and ethical manner while complying with policies, laws, and regulations related to business and employment.
  • Oversee people, processes and programs across the team to ensure talent for current and future needs by providing functional and technical leadership.
  • Attract, retain, and develop highly effective professionals and support staff.
  • Cultivate a bench of leadership and talent to deliver results and support future growth.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, Required
  • Master's Degree, Business, Preferred

Work Experience

  • More than 15 years, leading multiple aspects of a business unit including strategy & execution preferably in retail, food service or QSR with franchise experience, Req
  • Experience in menu strategy and understanding consumer trends, to drive product innovation, Pref
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Pref
  • Experience in restaurant equipment and technology solutions, Pref

  • Ability to influence others and use data to tell a compelling story.
  • Ability to connect theory to practical application.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and an ability to effectively present information to all levels within an organization.
