Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on apartments, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems, air conditioning units, and mechanical installations to identify potential issues early.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects related to facility upgrades or repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments to minimize downtime.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or installations when necessary.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proven service technician experience with a focus on maintenance and repair tasks.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration technologies.
- Construction experience is a plus for handling facility upgrades or renovations.
- Leadership skills to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors effectively.
