Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Consultant with 1–5 years of experience in talent acquisition or executive search, an exceptional business acumen, and a high level of intellectual curiosity. In particular, the ideal candidate is strongly motivated to expand knowledge of business functions, industries, and financing structures, especially private equity, while interacting with sophisticated, senior client stakeholders and experienced candidates.
In this role, you will partner with our executive search team and client leadership to scope executive search efforts; develop job descriptions and marketing materials; and identify, attract, and assess top talent for executive-level positions across a variety of industries, business functions, and company sizes/stages of life-cycle.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and define role requirements.
- Research business sectors, companies, and functional areas to contribute to search strategies, candidate identification, role descriptions, and client-facing proposals.
- Source and engage high-caliber candidates through research, networking, and direct outreach.
- Develop and write rigorous Candidate Assessment Packages for clients.
- Schedule and conduct initial candidate meetings, representing the firm and the client positively while gathering relevant information from prospective candidates.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle: screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates; presenting candidates to client stakeholders; and coordinating interviews and offers.
- Provide market insights and assist with talent mapping for strategic hiring decisions.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with hiring policies.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and build long-term relationships.
- Update and maintain (Ezekia) ATS/CRM records according to firm guidelines and processes.
- 1–5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or executive search.
- Solid business acumen, with a desire to expand understanding of industries, functions, and financing structures.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to distill complicated concepts into concise narratives.
- Strong communication (written and spoken) and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to support multiple searches and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search) and ATS systems.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and consultative approach.
- Experience recruiting for senior or specialized roles.
- Knowledge of compensation structures and candidate compensation negotiation strategies.
- Ability to provide guidance to client hiring managers and stakeholders.
- Self-starter, willing and able to take initiative and make decisions independently while staying within well-defined guardrails.
- Undergraduate degree AND previous work experience required.
- Exposure to private equity/private capital or management consulting a plus.
- This role is based in Austin, TX though candidates from Chicago or Los Angeles will also be considered.
