Sponsorship & Exhibit Sales Manager

GNA, the nation's leading clean transportation and energy consulting firm, is seeking a Sponsorship & Exhibit Sales Manager, with a background in the transportation and/or clean energy sector, or a related field, to join our growing team based in our Santa Monica office. In this Exhibits Sales Manager role, you will be responsible for managing sales efforts for our conference & events where you will work side-by-side with team members that are collaborative, inquisitive, and dedicated to quality.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Events.

Responsibilities:

• Sell exhibit space and sponsorship inventory for ACT Expo (http://www.actexpo.com) and other annual conferences and expositions.
• Manage exhibit and sponsorship sales including prospecting, sales, negotiation, proposal development, contracting, collections, sponsor fulfilment, servicing, and relationship management.
• Serves as the primary contact for vendors, including partners, sponsors, and exhibitors.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key sponsors and exhibitors.
• Build sales pipelines, prospecting, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Renew previous sponsors/exhibitors with a strong focus on prospecting new market sectors currently not served.
• Pre-show, on-site, and post-show operations and production responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of experience in B2B sales, previous trade show/conference sponsorship, exhibit space, and advertising sectors is a plus.
• Experience in effective prospecting, follow-up, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute multiple projects concurrently
• Experience working in the trade show/conference/advertising sectors
• Ability to work as part of a team while achieving individual goals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, independently, and meet required deadlines
• Fluency of English language is required.
• Travel to event sites will be required.

This full-time, staff position offers an annual salary, as well as a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance on the first day of the month after hire. We also offer 401(k) plans and performance-based bonus opportunities.
