Georgetown College seeks applications for the position of Dean of Students. Georgetown College is a private, Christian, liberal arts institution located in the small college town of Georgetown, Kentucky, just 12 miles north of Lexington. Established in 1829, Georgetown College is known for the close personal relationships between faculty, staff, and students, for exceptional teaching, and for highly successful athletics. The successful candidate for Dean of Students will be dedicated to enhancing the Christian mission of the College while serving the needs of a broad student population. The Dean of Students serves on the Executive Cabinet and collaborates across the College with students, faculty, staff, and community partners on all matters affecting the student experience. The Dean of Students is expected to be a person of strong character with a demonstrated commitment to educating students in a holistic way.
Candidates should have experience in Student Life and a commitment to active participation in a residential college community. The Search Committee will be looking for candidates with a working knowledge of residence life and programming; state and federal policy (including but not limited to Title IX compliance); student health and wellness; student conduct protocols; and how to support academic initiatives. This position is Master’s Degree preferred, and at least five years of leadership experience. Pay will be competitive and commensurate with credentials and experience.
