Responsibilities
- Review and verify all incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before processing
- Enter invoice data into the accounting system with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare and process payments via check, electronic transfer, or other approved methods in accordance with company policies
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain positive supplier relationships
- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for audit readiness
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary documentation and resolve invoice issues efficiently
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and provide supporting documentation as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, demonstrating strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial controls
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Experience with invoice processing, reconciliation, and resolving payment discrepancies is highly desirable
