Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing, and supply chain activities to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for manufacturing and operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems, procurement management, and supplier relations to optimize inventory control and contract management processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities.
- Review pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee purchase orders, ensure compliance with company policies, and monitor order status throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to forecast material requirements based on MRP and production schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics and inventory management to ensure optimal inventory levels and reduce excess stock or stock outs.
- Ensure adherence to supply chain regulations and internal policies related to procurement activities.
- Conduct all aspects of cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory.
Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite or equivalent procurement platforms.
- Strong knowledge of procurement management, sourcing strategies, and supply chain processes.
- Experience with inventory management, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Ability to analyze pricing data, manage logistics, and optimize supply chain operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and logistics operations is preferred.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for accurate procurement planning and supplier evaluation.
