Duties
- Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation using accounting software such as NetSuite.
- Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues efficiently
- Conduct data entry with precision, ensuring all transactions adhere to GAAP and internal controls
- Follow up with clients via phone or email to facilitate collections, negotiate payment plans, and maintain positive customer relationships
- Prepare journal entries related to revenue recognition, debits & credits, and month-end closing activities in compliance with technical accounting standards
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Assist with audit preparations by providing documentation related to accounts receivable transactions
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles within a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including revenue cycle management, account analysis, and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, or similar platform
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service, and phone etiquette to effectively manage client interactions
- Skilled in data entry (10 key typing), double entry bookkeeping, and analysis skills for accurate financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail for performing journal entries and account analysis
