We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead all phases of transit and subway construction and maintenance projects for a leading North American railroad contractor. Key Responsibilities
- Lead MTA project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved.
- Oversee execution in active rail environments while maintaining safety, production, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage Superintendents, Assistant PMs, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
- Act as the primary liaison for MTA / NYCTA stakeholders, inspectors, and client teams.
- Coordinate rail-specific operations including track access, outages, flagging, and site logistics.
- Drive project controls including cost forecasting, scheduling, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with MTA / NYCTA standards, OSHA requirements, and company safety practices.
- Lead commercial performance including procurement, subcontractor management, claims support, and contract administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience delivering projects valued at $50M .
- Working knowledge of MTA, NYCTA, Amtrak, LIRR, or Metro-North standards and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience operating within active rail or transit environments.
- Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and change management.
- OSHA certification required.
