Revenue Accountant

Position: Revenue Accountant – Oil & Gas

Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with a company that is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to support the accurate and timely processing of oil and gas revenues across both operated and non-operated properties. This role is responsible for revenue accounting, regulatory reporting, and maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with large data sets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of oil and gas revenues in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit severance tax and other required state and federal reports and payments
• Reconcile the revenue clearing account in the general ledger and resolve outstanding items
• Set up and maintain revenue cross-references within the accounting system
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper ownership setup for revenue distributions
• Process revenue transactions through system entries, including manual input and data uploads using Excel
• Respond to owner and client inquiries related to revenue activity
• Support financial audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Assist with process improvements and additional projects as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within oil and gas revenue accounting
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large data sets
• Familiarity with oil and gas accounting systems and revenue processes is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with both internal teams and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to resolving issues
