Responsibilities
- Analyze costs of manufacturing, operations, and projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and review cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability studies.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold accounts.
- Monitor standard costs, identify variances, and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Develop and improve cost accounting systems, controls, and reporting tools.
- Support management with cost analysis for pricing, investment, and operational decisions.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–5 years of cost accounting or related accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with variance analysis, margin analysis, and cost allocation.
- Familiarity with process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
