Job Title: Revenue Accountant

Compensation: $65,000-$85,000.00
Job Summary
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of oil and gas revenues for both operated and non-operated properties, in compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role involves revenue setup, reporting, reconciliations, and responding to owner and client inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure oil and gas revenues are processed accurately and on time for both operated and non-operated properties
- Prepare and submit required reports and payments to state and federal agencies by established deadlines
- Reconcile the revenue clearing general ledger account and resolve outstanding items
- Set up and maintain revenue cross-references in the accounting system
- Collaborate with DOI staff to establish accurate ownership and distribution percentages
- Perform data entry into the revenue accounting system, including manual input and Excel-based uploads
- Submit severance tax filings and other required state and federal reports and payments
- Respond to owner inquiries and address client questions related to oil and gas revenues
- Assist with financial audits related to the revenue distribution process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support revenue reporting
- Complete additional projects and duties as assigned
