A growing multi‑entity organization is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to manage end‑to‑end payroll operations and support key HR and accounting functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Process multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll for 100 employees (hourly, salary, commissions, and tips).
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Support quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, year‑end processing, and 1099 preparation.
- Assist with 401(k) contributions, disability payments, state remittances, and benefits reporting.
- Perform payroll‑related bank and account reconciliations.
- Support workers’ comp audits, 401(k) audits, and compliance notices.
- Set up payroll for new entities and recommend process improvements.
- Partner with HR on onboarding, employee updates, and occasional recruiting support.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Accounting and HR to ensure accuracy and alignment.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of payroll experience, including multi‑state processing
- Strong Excel skills and general accounting understanding.
- Highly organized, accurate, and proactive with strong reasoning skills.
- CPP/FPC certification a plus but not required.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
