Our client in the equipment rental industry is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring accounting accuracy, and driving operational excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will deliver the financial vision, discipline, and structure needed to scale a multi-location, capital-intensive business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Develop and execute strategies for cash management, capital allocation, and equipment financing.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure full compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.
- Implement enhanced management reporting that integrates operational and financial data for deeper performance insights.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, insurance providers, and risk-management firms.
- Collaborate closely with operations leaders to assess pricing, fleet utilization, working capital needs, and return on investment.
- Direct financial planning for multi-entity operations across domestic and international locations.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting and FP&A team that aligns with the company’s culture and growth goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior CFO or equivalent senior-level responsibility.
- Deep expertise in cost accounting, capital asset management, and multi-location financial operations.
- Proven track record leading system implementations, digital transformations, or modernization initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with lenders, investors, and senior leadership.
- A hands-on, pragmatic leader capable of balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
- Experience in equipment rental, construction services, or other capital-intensive industries strongly preferred.
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
