Title: Temporary Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist
Location: Houston, TX (Harrison County) - Hybrid 3 days onsite/Flex to be onsite 5 days for instruction week
Duration: 6-months, Maternity Leave
Compensation: Negotiable
We are seeking an experienced Senior Learning & Development Consultant to join a fast-growing North American business on a 6‑month contract, covering a maternity leave within the Learning & Development team. This role is critical to ensuring continuity across training, coaching, and professional development programs. An early start is required to allow for a smooth handover ahead of the planned leave period. You will play a key role in supporting a high-performance, sales-driven environment, working closely with consultants and business leaders to drive productivity, capability, and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver academy-style training programs for both new hires and experienced consultants
- Provide 1:1 and group coaching across recruitment and sales teams
- Support on-desk development to improve consultant effectiveness, output, and consistency
- Partner with business leaders to embed learning initiatives and drive performance improvement
- Maintain and execute established Learning & Development frameworks and programs
- Support multi-office teams across several major U.S. locations
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, ideally within recruitment, staffing, or sales-led environments
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and performance development capability
- Ability to step into an established function and be effective with minimal ramp-up
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, revenue-driven business
- Experience delivering structured, academy-style or onboarding training programs
- Willingness to travel as required
