Technical Workday Manager – Integrations & Workday Studio
Location: Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA

About the Role
We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Workday Manager to lead our Workday integrations strategy, development, and team execution. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with people management, ensuring our Workday ecosystem is scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. You’ll oversee complex integration architecture, guide a team of developers, and serve as the primary technical authority for Workday Studio and related integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Workday integration developers, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
- Architect, design, and oversee delivery of complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Web Services.
- Establish integration standards, governance, and best practices across the Workday platform.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Oversee integration lifecycle activities including design reviews, code reviews, testing strategy, and production deployment.
- Troubleshoot high‑complexity integration issues and drive root‑cause analysis and long‑term remediation.
- Manage Workday release impact assessments, ensuring integrations remain stable and compliant.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure proper data governance, access controls, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Workday technical landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of Workday experience, with deep expertise in integrations and Workday Studio.
- Proven experience leading or managing Workday technical teams.
- Strong hands‑on background with Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Solid understanding of Workday HCM data model, business processes, and security framework.
- Experience architecting enterprise‑grade integrations in complex environments.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Jersey City or Boston.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Integration or Workday Studio certification.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, or broader HRIS ecosystems.
- Background supporting HR, Payroll, or Finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
